price verses performance; AMD wins with almost all its processors (except the FX's)

all of AMD's processors perform much better clock for clock than P4's, and especially for how much you pay for them

Athlon XP 1.67GHZ processors performs about the same as P4 2.5GHZ processors, which is a 150% performance increase clock for clock

Intel has a 64-bit processor called the Itanium, but it is very hard to get hold of; is Intel ashamed of it?

I will prefer AMD cosz usually i just use my machine to plat games.
I got a P4 Northwood 1.8GHz, but when playing games, only same level with AMD Througbred 1.2 GHz.

I really don't care a lot for intel because their processors excel in video editing(which I don't do) and AMD processors perform better in games and that's why I'm getting a 3800+ in the next system I build.

Just curious, who in here does a lot of video editing ?
