Default Data Execution Prevention message / query

Whenever I close Windows Explorer I get a Data Execution Prevention message saying Windows has had to close Windows Explorer. I have followed the Windows online help which basically just advises getting updates and running a virus scan etc. All of which i have done. I have AVG 7.5 Internet Security which scans daily and whatever is picked up on scans is locked away in the virus vault.

Any ideas as to what might be causing this and how to correct it would be appreciated.

The only other glitches that I have which might be connected are two Application Error messages when shutting down the PC. One is from powermonitor.exe (cannot find this file when doing a search) and the other is from brsvc01a.exe (when i search for the file I see that it is related to the Brother multi function centre I have.

If these are unrelated I would appreciate any advice as to why I might be getting these error messages too.
