pc_boy is on a distinguished road

Default

AMD 2500+ -- $85
Radeon 9600SE -- $61 *
ASUS A7N8X-X -- $64
Corsair 512MB DDR400 PC3200 -- $75
Powmax case with side panel window and LED fans -- $30
Samsung Black 52X32X52 CD-RW -- $23

That's 315 dude, beat that. iF you get them off newegg, you get free shipping on almost all the parts.

*Video card is optional

You could try convince your sister to play Doom 3. Then she would have nightmares and would live you alone. J/k

get the AMD Sempron cos it is better than Celeron many times & the price is nearly the same ...
4 me personally i prefer it even over the P$ double cache or with HT ....
just b carefull 2 choose the right mobo ...the ABIT & ASUS r the best 4 AMD ...i like more the ABIT KD7-A or KV7 or AN7 ...it depands abnout the price in ur country ..

That sounds like a good enough (and cheap) system but you will need a harddrive too
