| the SB Audigy LS is 5.1 and the Audigy 2's are 7.1
other than that, unless you work with music or something, you will not notice a difference
I actually have an Audigy LS myself, it is a good card.

| I think the dude wants the cheapest card possible man. That's why he was asking about the Audigy 1 instead of just going for Audigy 2. If you know of a m-audio solution that's just as cheap, but offers superior quality, post away  . I'd like to take a look at it too. |

| I am just looking to replace my on-board. The reason that I am asking is because somebody at my school says he will sell me an Audigy for $20.............
But of course I will make sure that it is not damaged or does not work. |
