| Need a little more info, like heavy gamer? looking for the best value? Video editing? Basically the 9800gtx even lower will suffice if you dont plan on intense 3d gaming. Otherwise the 9800GX2 is the best card out now, but we'll see when the 9900gtx is released along with the 9900gx2. I know some people might complain and say that the 9900gtx and 9900gx2 are just re branded older versions, but eh whatever. *edit - heard rumors that the GX2 doesn't preform as well at higher resolutions. anyone care to comment?

| I think the ATI cards scale well with resolution. the 9800 GX2 by itself will be the best performing "single card" though. Though personally I don't really like the implementation of 2 PCB's for it. a 3870 X2 will run it well, and it's good on power. Otherwise, 9600 GT's and 3870's are good cards to SLI/crossfire |

What that translates to is really poor responsiveness when you try to play a game. Hopefully, your display has a low-latency type mode - which might be 1-2 frames delay.
