Wix XP can't detect external hard drive...

Hey Folks...

I have a new external hard drive, running on a win xp machine. It's installed in a usb 2.0 port.

It's not showing under my computer or under explorer, however, two seperate usb mass storage devices are shown within Device manager. It wasn't sent with a driver, that i can recall. I did try to update the driver, but i believe xp said there was no other more current driver found for this.

Any advice? Many thanks in advance..

Right click My Computer > go to Manage > click on Disk Management on the left pane, and see if there's an unformatted drive w/ the same drive letter you're seeing in remove devices. Sometimes you have to format the new drives yourself.
