Question Trouble with monitor (CTX 5760A)

Hey, for the past few weeks, every time i boot up my computer, my monitor will flick on and off consistently every second or so. After about 5 minutes of flickering on and off, the flicking starts to slow down, it displays a white screen, then eventually it works like a normal monitor should.

This happens every single time, unless the computer was recently on. Ive tried unpluging and repluging in the monitor.

I apologise in advance from my bad spelling/grammar/capitolisation/terminology/explanation.

Is it a CRT or an LCD monitor?
