Question Trouble with Hyper-Threading Tech

I just put togeather my new computer and it works great except the fact that it is supposed to hyper-thread my proccessor.

Now i have seen a system that had dual P4 Prossesors both on HT Tech and he would go to the device manager and i showed 4 processor's all running at 2.2 Ghz If he looked at his clock speed i showed 8.8ghz. he put an amazing amount of money in to the computer however... Basicly he did not have a Girl friend and still doesn't.

Now i have a AMD 3500+ Running at 2.2ghz right now i look in my BIOS and it shows that and my MOBO FSB is supposed to be running anywhere from 1000mhz to 2000 mhz.

So the HT is not working. or else it is working but its not showing its working. I have no idea.

My MOBO is a Chaintech VNF4

so what i am thinking, is possibly get a BIOS update, or do I turn something on?

You don't have hyperthreading, and no system add's up the processors speeds like you said. You cannot run P4's in dual processor configuration*

Your "FSB" (Hypertransport) will be running at 1000 default on that motherboard, so don't worry about it.

So that is all HT is?
Wow I feel like a id 10 t.
So the only thing it will effect is my FSB not my processor speed?
