Default The system has detected any incorrect battery..

I get the message...The system has detected an incorrect battery for this unit...when trying to boot my laptop. It was the same battery I have used with the machine for the entire time I have had it. So hey I figure the battery has went bad so I ordered a new one. I got it today put it in and got the same message. I can get the machine to come on by just taking the battery out and using the AC adapter and everything works fine. I searched Google and found some info on the HP site, but it was junk. it simply said take the battery out, restart the machine with the AC adapter and then put the battery in when windows completely boots up...well that did not work either. Has anyone ever worked through this?

Try to reset your Bios to default.
