Default system can't find hard drive

I have an XP Pro system that worked fine after I installed a 250 GB HD (D in addition to the 120 installed as the C: drive. I have always booted from C: Now I have removed the 250GB and intend to run with only the 120. The jumper is set to cable select and the HD is at the end of the cable. When I power up the system only beeps and offers no display and I can't get it to go into BIOS setup. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Default Re: system can't find hard drive

Sounds more like a RAM problem. Check that is properly seated in the slot. Also, the jumper should be set to Master.
