Default Second PCI card no detected in Windows

Hi all,

I'm using dual monitor system using my onboard VGA and a PCI S3 VGA Card. In BIOS, I set the PCI VGA Card as a primary VGA, and the setup work. I can use both of my monitor flawlessly.

The problem is when I set my onboard VGA as primary monitor, windows cannot detected my PCI VGA Card, and dua monitor wont work. In the device manager the S3 virge card had a (!) mark beside the icon.

I don't think this is a driver problem because it only happened when I set the primary VGA Card to the onboard VGA. The S3 driver is automatically installed by windows when I use the S3 PCI card as primary VGA.

Can anyone help me to solve the problem? Thank you.

Display or driver conflict?

I don't know what confict it is. If i'm using the PCI card as primary VGA windows assign the driver without error. The driver itself automatically installed and not need to be configured.

Google suggest that it may be IRQ conflict. Anybody can further explain IRQ conflict and how to change IRQ manually via BIOS or Windows.
