Exclamation Really old laptop onboard mouse problem

i have a old toshiba tecra 8000 with a Peteum 2 in it and the onboard mouse that comes up through the key board is always going down and to the left

I have tried finding a driver for the onboard mouse in the drivers folder and could not locate one also i have tried looking in the BIOS and nothings there

IF any one could help me out it would be great i am giving it to a friend so she can just surf the net with it

Sounds like a hardware problem, the key is in the title "really old laptop". It has probably just started to die on you best bet is to plug in a USB or PS2 mouse or somehow find drivers for your laptop and give that a go but doubt it`ll work.
