Ram Issue, Compaq 700 series

BSOD started to pop on my Compaq 700 Laptop, i figured it out that its my RAM thats starting to die, but the main problem is that the RAM is built on the motherboard itself and if it dies i wont have any ideas what to do?
My Main question : If i buy a Stick of Laptop RAM 256MB 133 (wish me luck) is there any way i can disable the onboard RAm since its nearly dead?
