Default psu failure

hi guys,my psu has failed on my desktop so ive gone out and brought a laptop. however,there are some pics/vids etc that i want from my desktop hdd and the 2nd hdd installed.without buying a new psu, is there any way i can access these drives to collect my pics etc? cheers im really stuck???

either install them on another computer (freinds or whatever) and burn data to disk
or
buy an external drive enclosure and hook them up to your laptop via usb.

if i just connect the drives into my mates pc as a secondary drive will it cause a problem cause it has an o/s on it or will i just be able to browse it n remove my documents?

correct.

you would most likely need to take ownership of the files in my documents on the other computer but no problems.
