Question PSU for AGP Sapphire x1650??

I just got the Sapphire x1650 agp card and it fails when playing games.....been looking at many forums and I'm pretty sure it is my PSU that causeing all my problems, I payed $80 for this card and I am not willing to spend much more seeing this was going to be a quick fix until I can afford to build a new system.

What I want to know is what I need to get this card to work with out paying as much or more than what a payed for the card, for what I have read on other forums its the 12v that I need to look out for.....my PSU i have now is 450w 12v/18a, and it just cant get this card to work right

Please help!!!

A 450watt psu should be adequate enough. What other devices are you running: CD/ DVD drives, Hard drives and external usb devices?
