Default Problem related to thunderstorm

My wife was on the computer at home, then when there was a flash of lightning the computer shut off. Now when it starts it makes a high pitch squealing noise and doesn't boot. Anyone know what could have happened???

More likely a power supply issue.

Get someone with good hearing to find out where it's coming from... I have had small capicators make whining sounds like that.

Ok I went home at lunch to check it out. My wife thought the squealing noise was from the computer but it's a long beep from the UPS. I have a CyberPower CPS325SL. When I flip the switch back on the computer comes on with it and there is a long beep from the UPS, then it shuts off. This thing has a battery backup so maybe the battery got fried or something. I contacted CyberPower so I'm gonna see what they say about it. Anybody else have an opinion while I wait for theirs? Thanks!
