problem with laptop (dunno if this is right forum)

hello well i was on my laptop earlier and all of a sudden a white screen appeared out of nowhere. so i rebooted and it came to system file check thingy, so anyway it got to 3% then frooze there then like 2 minutes later the screen went blue with white lines going through it. so i rebooted again and skipped the file check, it gets to the windows is loading page and freezes there.

can anyone help me please?

Based on my personal experience with my Compaq Evo laptop a few months ago, it might be an issue with your hard drive. I replaced mine and noticed a significant performance increase. With the old hd, things were slow, random freezing, looong time to shutdown.

i've only had the thing a few months brand new acer laptop.

are laptop hard drives different to pc ones?

its also making a noise before the screen goes blue with white lines thats on the fil system check
