Another simple problem from simple user. I have a hp deskjet printer. Wanted to change to A5 this am, it first did not respond, tried a print on A4 and then the printer went into overdrive, page after page of gobblegook.
The facility for 'deleting printer' does not work, can't delete. Why? Tried re-installing anyhow, now have three icons and still same problem. Do I need a new printer or is there someone with a quick fix. I use windows xp

I don't follow, what is A5?

Probably can't delete it because you have print jobs in the print queue. Double click the printer icon on the bottom right and delete all of the print jobs. It may take a while. After that is done you can delete the printer if needed then reinstall using the proper drivers.
