I made a new rig a couple weeks ago and everything went fine. I went in tonight and tried setting up a wire that read. (AC.97) I think I put it into the wrong location on the board but anyhow initially everything was fine for about 15 minutes I went in and deleted some drivers for my audio and at that moment when I unplugged my headphone/mic the PC died. I get a single solid blue light on the board and when I try hitting the power I dont get anything.

Im rulling out the Powersupply at this moment because I was fooling with the board prior to the pc dying. Any help would be appreciated before I dismantle and RMA the board.

I just bought another powersupply and I get the same thing, im def thinking its the mobo.

Have you tried to reset the bios?

Everything else in the surge protector working (ensuring you didn't trip any circuits)?

If you have a spare PS it would be worth trying.

Alright guys heres everything ive done.

Tried using another psu.

Tried taking the motherboard from the case and just hooking power to it to see if i get any type of post code.

Tried taking the battery out and popping it back in.

Seems like a bad mobo.
