Default Performance Problem

Hi,

I recently have been having a weird problem with my game performance, for all games when I start playing they will run at a nice smooth frame rate, for example stalker would run at about 70 fps, then after about 2 minutes the fps will drop and stay low, stalker drops to about 14fps.

This performance drop is irrellevant of any in game setting ( AA, Res, Texture detail etc), I tried dropping all the settings and exactly the same thing happens.

I have a 865dPerl intel motherboard, P4 3.2, 1gb RAM, and a Sapphire X800 Xt.

I reformatted my computer and installed everything clean but im still getting the same problem.

Any help would be great.

i meant that the card probably broke because of time or the thermal stuff is not as good as new, etc...
