Unhappy nvidia driver issues (bsod)

my brand spanking new geforce 8600gt fata1ity came in the mail twenty minutes ago and after putting the card in i installed nvidias latest forceware drivers for windows xp x64, after rebooting it was all good until i clicked on the nvidia control panel, it flickered with a blue screen of death for about 1 second and then the pc restarted!! now i have tried the older drivers off the actual disk and it does the exact same thing, the only way i can get it too work is to not install any drivers at all.have reinstalled the differnt drivers five times now wtf is wrong!!! any help would be appreciated.

Talking Re: nvidia driver issues (bsod)

SUCCESSS!!!!
i would have done what you suggested if i could have but it would do the same thing, but i managed to fix it by using microsofts restore thing and i restored it to a time before i had installed the raedon drivers for my last video card turns out windows doesnt like to delete the older ati drivers.

it's a common problem, use driver cleaner pro to clean up the old drivers completely.

Driver cleaner pro is the best...its helped out a lot.
