i bought a sparkle geforce 9400gt and whenever i play tf2 it lags then screws up the textures. i updated to the latest drivers and it didnt help

edit: i tried it on different games and each one played perfectly for about 2 minutes or so then the game crashes >.< this is so aggravating

I had a little bit of a similar problem. Try downclocking it.

ok do ive put a fan by it and it cools it down alot it idles at about 37 degrees celcius (according to gpu-z). i tested it while playing NFS Shift in windowed mode with medium settings it goes up to 41C and it artifacts like 10-20 mins into the game, at about 43C it crashes...
TF2 will for for a hour or so then problems arise...

Try using the nVidia control panel to put the clocks lower for all three. I did that, it helped me.

Contact the Manufacturer, sounds like you need to RMA it.

ive tweaked around the settings and now it works pretty good, i think that riva tuner being present kept scaring it (i forgot i left it on auto start)
im still using riva tuner but only to monitor the FPS and temp...

edit: i was using riva to underclock it and i guess i left it on
