Default My Friends new AMD PC is using its fullest potiental

hey I have a quick question ? my friend andres is having trouble utitlizing his 2 amd X2 cores. right now he is only using 1 at the moment is there anyway he can use both at the same time ? he says his new pc is lagging behind in speed.

Thanks for any help if it were to be intel core 2 duo system I could have helped him out some more, but I don't know a **** thing about amd's newest processor.

amd, intel, dual core, its all the same

make sure the pc is at least running XP Professional SP2. media center, corporate, server, etc...if its running sp1 (execpt home edition) it supports dual core.
