| Ok well I have a custom computer and I tried reinstalling windows xp on to my computer, but when I tried starting up my computer I had the cd in my cd drive and tried to go to my motherboard options. I went in to the wrong section so I restarted my computer and then when I tried restarting my computer it got stuck in the part where it shows what kind of motherboard I have. That's where my computer just locks up and doesn't do anything past that. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it or what's wrong with it? |

| Super Techie | try resetting the cmos by removing the battery and placing it back after 30 secs. also turn off the power supply so the power won't be passing through the motherboard.

| Ok so my problem is a little different. I let it load for a good 10 minutes and it finally started working, but every time I restart my computer now it takes around 10 minutes to start up from the 1-2 minutes at the most before. |
