Default My computer Won't start up

Ok well I have a custom computer and I tried reinstalling windows xp on to my computer, but when I tried starting up my computer I had the cd in my cd drive and tried to go to my motherboard options. I went in to the wrong section so I restarted my computer and then when I tried restarting my computer it got stuck in the part where it shows what kind of motherboard I have. That's where my computer just locks up and doesn't do anything past that. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it or what's wrong with it?

try resetting the cmos by removing the battery and placing it back after 30 secs. also turn off the power supply so the power won't be passing through the motherboard.

Ok so my problem is a little different. I let it load for a good 10 minutes and it finally started working, but every time I restart my computer now it takes around 10 minutes to start up from the 1-2 minutes at the most before.

Run your pc in barebones, and clear your cmos (just use the jumper).
