| Do you have your computer set for hibernation that causes problems with XP.

| Ultra Techie | So I take it the keyboard and mouse are both usb models? You could be right, drivers might be the issue. Post your mobo number, and I'll see if I can find an update for you.

| Ultra Techie | checking, hold on... also, are your keyboard and mouse standard, or do they need extra drivers?

| Hello, Go to the Device Manager, and for both your mouse and keyboard devices in question, go to Properties, then click on the Power Management tab. ![]() Ensure that 'Allow this device to wake the computer' is checked. If that doesn't work, check your BIOS for any power management and sleep/resume settings.

| Ultra Techie | If that doesn't work, reinstall your keyboard driver, and install the driver for your mouse. When you resume, do your kb/mouse have power? (any lights on the keyboard on? is the optical light on the mouse on?)
