Default Motherboard won't detect SATA HDD..

I have a weird problem.. my motherboard detects the SATA HDD, but it doesn't.. I can see it in 'My Computer', but when I go to BIOS it's not even there. Has anyone had this problem before? Please pass me some info.

**SPECS**

Motherboard: P5NSLI
CPU: Core 2 Duo 1.8 GHz
Memory: Patriot 512 x2 Dual Channel
HDD: Seagate 160 GB SATA2
Video: Radeon x800

Have u tried checking ur SATA cable to see if its plugged in the right way.

Have you enabled SATA in the BIOS?????

Yea, I already enabled it in bios, and it is plugged in correctly.. I'm actually using my HDD right now as I type, but it just won't show up in BIOS.

Have you tried updating BIOS?

if it works, y mess with it? and y do u need it in the bios neways? with those out of the way, update your bios, that should do it
