Default macbook trouble getting on internet.

hi, i recently bought a macbook and am having trouble getting the AirPort to connect to the internet VIA my wireless router. my Router is a linksys WRT54G ver. 6

So, heres the problem. My desktop is Windows and i have no trouble connecting to internet. but when i put in the information(the passphrase, WEP key , ect) on to my mac. it wont connect to the internet. i have a WEP key on my router. when i connect from my modem directly to my macbook, i can get onto the internet.

im kinda confused on this...i was trying to find what the problem is all day...i even tryed to contact linksys support...and my other windows operating systems labtop connects w/ to the internet w/ no trouble

Anyone know the answer to my trouble? i'd greatly appreciate the help

you may want to have one of the admins move this down 6 forums to the apple / mac forum. I just checked and it says all things apple or mac. They surely will know what to do.
