| Ive been having problems with my laptops cd/dvd drive for a few weeks now. I cant even get it to open unless i press eject on My Computer, or press the little button with a pin next to it. It also doesnt read any of my discs anymore, i put them in and then nothing. Ive tried everything but just cant seem to get it working again. Thanks. |

| Ultra Techie | 1. Go to control panel/ administrative tools/ computer management/ disk management. Check that the cd drive is 'healthy'. 2. Open your computer and make sure the IDE/SATA cable is plugged in properly. The fact that its not reading the disks, but opens makes it sound like the cable has come loose.
