| Hi everyone, I just got a new build pc with a VIA VT8237A audio on the motherboard. I am running Windows XP Pro with SP2 and trying to get the audio to work, by installing the drivers from the motherboard cd but everytime, it just tells me that "we can't find a hd audio device" and in the control panel, under sound, everything is blanked out. In device manager, it says I have audio and audio legacy drivers, and under properties, some audio codecs are listed. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thank you so much in advance!!! |

| One dumb Techie | Onboard audio. Try restarting your computer and go to the Boot Selection Menu. Select your optical drive, and I'm sure it might be able to find the motherboard's CD and install the onboard audio drivers.
