| Newb Techie | Hi: Earlier today my computer froze so I reset the computer, when I did this the system failed to recognize the primary master ide drive. I in turn opened the case and checked the power cords on the drives closed the case and restarted the computer then it failed to recognize both the primary master and the primary slave. I shut it down again and hooked up my backup drive and it booted right up. The are twin western digital 200 gig drives. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Howard |

| Newb Techie | Hi: I pulled the battery for 10 minutes and plugged the drives back in and it recognized them for about 25 minutes and now back to not detecting them. UGGGH this is driving me crazy. any ideas I.E. are the drives failing (which would be a first for me since I never had a western digital fail on me never less 2 at the same time). Howard |
