Default hard drive problem

i installed kubuntu on my dell xps 410(which was running vista) but i accidently partitioned my entire hard drive for the kubuntu, im trying to reinstall windows xp pro but everytime i put the disk in and the installation screen pops up on the bottom it will say ready to install windows but before it starts i get the blue screen saying that i should check my hard drive for viruses, or configure and terminate, or run chkdsk, what should i do?
