I suggest you RMA that drive. Cause when you start to get bad sectors you are just gonna get more over time most likely. Best to err on the side of safety then to have the drive go out completely later and loose all your data.

Will I still be able to RMA the drive? I thought I had only 30 days to RMA anything. I will check into that.

As far as losing information, I am not to worried about that because all my important information is on my second hard drive. What I will lose is Windows and all my programs like AVG, Office and stuff like that. I will just have to reinstall everything.

if memory serves, you have 3 years from the date of purchase to RMA a Western Digital HDD.

I just thought of this, since the hard drive I am sending back to Western Digital has Windows Vista installed on it, would I be able to use the same Windows for the new hard drive?

Yes. As long as you have the Serial. If you dont change the mobo or CPU you can install and reinstall it on the same machine as many times as you want.

Do you mean the Serial number for Windows?

I just did an Advance RMA through WD. I couldn't believe how easy it was.
