================================================

i scheduled a check disk and said that the hard drive is clean but once in a while windows still do a consistency test and reports that there are errors. i ran my virus/spam scanner and found nothing. my hard drive is only 2 months old and no weird noises when it loads.

also, firefox crashes a lot. supreme commander, cs: source, quake 4, quake wars crashes after long play (bout 30 - 45 minutes) and my system isn't overclocked

Default Re: Hard Drive Errors!!! Bad or Faulty HDD?

Test your ram to see if there are any errors on it.

I recently had a similar problem, my hard drive had inconsistency too, one day it got so bad my computer wouldn't even boot into windows properly. I thought my hard drive was to blame. But after trying to fix the problem I found out that one of my stick of ram went bad.

After installing a new pair of ram, all the problems went away...no more problems with the hard drive too.
