| Now that you mention it, i realize that it happens every time the fan on the graphic card kicks on as well. My case is pretty cool inside, so that can't be the problem. I will monitor the temperature of my GPU to see if I can see a pattern there and report back. Thank you very much. |

| No, but I'm afraid that that's not the problem with me either. I can't monitor the temp. The nTune keeps telling me that that is not enabled in the BIOS... But I found a way to make the fan run for a while before I open any 3D software. Changing the frequency on the card (GPU or memory) made the fan come on. So I did that and changed it back to default emediately. Then I waited a while (1-2 minutes) with the fan on and then I ran 3DS Maya. Result => system froze. I have no idea what else I could try next. Thank you all so much though!! |
