Gaming sound problems

I just got done building my pc.
You can read my specs..its in my sig.

I realized that while gaming, when someone speaks, the first word gets repeatd sometimes.
This happens only sometimes and in games only.
When i listen to music, everything works fine.

The games that ive noticed it so far was in Call of Juarez and rainbow six las vegas.

Any clue why this is happeneing?

Lag? Should it really be a problem since everything else works fine?

well it gets annoying sometimes when gaming, but i guess i could live with it.
And yeah, lag sound right.

Yeah, usually happens to me on Ventrilo. Friend just says something and I think he repeats it but it's just lag.
