I recently purchased a 5 port PCI to USB 2.0 card (1 internal,4 external ports) off Ebay. After installing the card and drivers, I tried shutting down, but the PC wouldnt allow me and automatically resets whenever I tried to do so (pressing power button, shutdown in start menu etc.). Only way to switch it off was to turn the power off directly (socket).
When I removed the USB card, everything was working fine again. Is there a way to fix this problem?
