| Hi, i just bought a new Benq20inch wide screen. It comes with both DVI/VGA port and cables. I also have a dual port video card. But i'm a bit confused at the use of plugging them both in at once. There is a switch on my monitor which switches between port 1(dvi) and port2(vga) inputs, so theoretically i can have a extended desktop. But realistically, is there actually any more practical use of plugging both ports in at once? bit confused at how the inputport switch would be used. any help thanks~~!! |

| you can't really have an extended desktop because i think it would only detect the monitor on one of the cables at a time and it needs to be detected on both to set it up. the idea of the two cables is only for compatability
