Default DVD RW not recognised by Vista

Hi, i have just installed Windows Vista Ultimate, and since i have installed it, my dvd drive is not showing up. I have 2 dvd drives, and my secondary one is working fine, but my main one is not. The problem is that my main one is the only one which can write cds/dvds so i need it. I had a look in device manager and only "IDE DVD ROM 16X ATA DEVICE" comes up, which is my secondary drive. Under 'Other Devices' there is an "unknown device", which i think is my main dvd drive :S

I had a look in my bios and my main drive is showing up, and it's model is NEC DVD_RW ND-3500A. I had a look for a driver for it on the internet, but i can only find firmwares.

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

try swapping the settings of the two drives to see if it works that way.
