| I have a gigabyte KA-8NS board and I recently bought a new DVDrw drive...now, when I put a CD in the drive Explorer can see everything on the drive, but when I try to execute anything on the disk it hangs and then I have to restart. This also happens with other DVD drives. The only drive that works with my machine is my old (very) CD Writer. It can play everything (except dvds of course). Does anyone one have any idea what might be wrong? Please bear in mind I'm not an expert...many thanks in advance |

| perhaps low power? i had problems once similar to this. it was with a dvd writer and cd writer in the same rig. turned out it was a power issue.
