brycatanz Newb Techie Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 11	DVD drive disappeared....... I have a Dell E521 only 6 months old, I upgraded to vista but didn't like it so I reinstalled XP and now my DVD drive will not work, it doesn't show up in My Computer, but it says that it's operating correctly in Device Manager. I have unistalled it and also tried to update the drivers but with no luck. Any Suggestions.

brycatanz Newb Techie Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 11	Re: DVD drive disappeared....... I found the problem, my old burning software left behind some entries in the registry when i uninstalled. Once those entries were removed my dvd drive appeared. Thanks for you help
