Default DVD Burner Installed but wont let me burn

My computer says that I need to connect a DVD burner or what not to my computer even though it is already connected.

I just recently messed up my computer and I think its some drivers issues.

I have the Sony DW-G120A DVD BURNER and my computer is not recognizing it.

What do I do?

I tried updating the driver and it says its already up to date.

But the Driver it says this.....

Be careful not to double post. This will make a lot of people unhappy and not want to respond to your question.

As for the your dvd drive problem; it sounds like a vista compatibility issue. If it previously worked I would try completely uninstalling the device and then reinstalling the driver manually via the link on your other post. If it has never worked, I suggest checking its compatibility with Vista.
