Default Disk boot error

Ive got a computer that fails to boot. I dont get any other screen other than a black one which tells me there was a disk boot error, and to insert the system disc and press enter. Only problem is that i do not have the system disc.

What can anyone reccommend?

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Disk boot error

Could it be that you might have left a non-system disk in your CD-ROM drive, or a flash drive still plugged in when you booted ? In other words, a disk still in a tray or a flash drive still plugged in when booting can cause a black screen like you mentioned.
