Digital monitor problem

I have a westinghouse LCM 22w2 monitor with the graphics card below. The gc has two digital outputs and the monitor has a digital and an analog input. When the monitor is hooked up with an analog cable w/dvi adaptor it works fine but when it's hooked up via digital cable it continually reboots. Any ideas as to why?

In case anyone has had a simular problem I found out the cable was bad.
