Desktop icons not showing up?

Well, i installed the Object desktop thing and its not even running, now it has took off "My computer" and My Documents... and did everything and i cant get them back

1. Right click on the desktop, click on
arrange icons by, then click on Show desktop icons

or

2. Right click the desktop and choose properties. Click on Desktop then customize desktop on the bottom. Check off what you want then hit ok.

Could also use system recovery and roll PC back to a date in which it was working if you can get to the start menu.

Eh, you have to be careful with system restore. If you installed any programs or updates recently, it can cause complicated issues where pieces of the program still exist but dont. Use it only as a last resort.
