Default Computer unable to turn on

Hello, my computer was running great until a lightning storm recently. I was on the computer during the storm then I had a surge and I believe it went through my cat5 wire and into my computer. It will not turn on now and I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions on what it could be. Also does anyone know how I could run a diagnostics test on the computer to see what is wrong. Thank you.

I agree with porlean, it sounds like your power supply is fried, which means there's a chance other parts are fried too.
