Default Computer with new HD doesn't recognize graphics card

Ok, here's the story.

There was a hard drive failure on my gaming rig a couple weeks ago. The box is
still under warranty so we took it in to have them drop in a new HD for free. I
get the computer back and now there are 2 things going really screwy.

1. The computer does not seem to recognize my good nVidia card now, at all. I
have to boot with the onboard graphics chip which is about a 3rd as powerful. I
tried re setting the card, that didn't help. I tried booting the computer in
vanilla form with the card completely removed then putting it back in and
booting and still nothing. I tried reinstalling the drivers, nothing.
When I go into the Device Manager under system properties and look in Display
Adapters it doesn't even show the card as being there, it's only seeing the
chip. And the card appears to work fine; the fan is on, the lights are on.

2. There appears to be an inconsistency now in processor speed. The BIOS shows a
consistent 2.80 GHz (what it should be). However, when the computer boots and I
open the System Properties the number changes almost every time I open it. I can
open and close System Properties 5 times in a row and get 5 different numbers.
It's ranged from 986MHz to 1.8GHz to 2.40GHz and back to 2.80. What the **** is
up with that??

Basically, before I took the computer in for service the only problem was a HD
needing replacement. Now that they had their hands on it the machine won't
recognize my good card or display a consistent processor speed.
What could be going on here?? Thanks for any help I can get!

Disregard the other thread with the same name but nothing in it, not sure why the forum did that...
