friend of mine having issues with his comp, heres what he sent me. Sounds liek a dead mobo to me.
Turned off computer the other night after playing all day. Got up the next morning and turned on the computer and no beep, no video, no hd access, couldn't even open the cd by pushing the button, I did however get all the fans to spin up and the lights on the front panel came on. So I unplugged everything put in the old video card still nothing. got a new (beefier) power supply. Still same thing. So now I have a processor with no heat sink on it a new video card and old video card. 2 g of pc3200 ram and no working computer.
If anyone knows will you get beep tones if you have only the big power plug, and then the other little power plug and speaker plugged in? Thinking about RMAing the mother board and going from there but I don't feel like ****ing with it much.
