CD Drive locks up windows with a CD in

Simple explanation at least but when I put certain programs like Painkiller CD and Rise of Nations it wont autorun. My computer locks up but some other cds wont do this. I have the Comp over clocked but never had a prob with this and doubt thats an issue. Any ideas? Thanks

Are the disks that your having a problem with burnt cds?

nope all original software, its seems like any piece of software with a big program does this. No more thana week ago it all worked. For the life of me can't think of what it could be.
