I came home today and turned on my computer, but when it got to the windows load screen a blue screen popped up. It said UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.
After I got this I tried to restart my computer again, but I got this screen again. I tried booting it in safe mode and finally tried to restore it, but the restore wont work. I don't have a windows startup disk to start it with and I'm wondering if I will ever get on my computer again. Is there anything I can do?

I remember having the same problem & i think if i remember correctly it was caused by a virus , You can try boot of windows xp disk but you say u dont have 1 u can either buy a copy from the shop or there are many copys u can download from the net ((Pirate))

If your able to get into safe mode Go to my computer & right click on C: drive & go to properties & go to the tools tab & click check now & check both check boxes & then restart & the chkdsk will start if for some reason it dosnt start go back into safe mode & click run & type chkdsk

You may get lucky & windows might be able to fix the problem while in windows.. by typing chkdsk
