Exclamation Blinking LED case fan

I have an enermax 120mm blue LED fan(3-pin). A week ago i installed it to my motherboard's aux rear fan header and everything was working great. Just today the LEDs are blinking (as fast as a strobe light). It is still in the same fan header as it used to be when it didnt blink, there any reason/solution to this. Its just a personal thing, but blinking LED case fans annoy me.

Yes, and it still blinks. Im thinking of plugging it into my PSU, becase my PSU has 4 3-pin headers(PSU is modular).

Maybe it is not recieveing enough power forthe LEDs through the header on the mobo?

yeah try that once you have eliminated power as the problem then we know it must be the fan itself.

Cool, I was about to plug the fan into the PSU and I noticed another 4-pin header at the very bottom of my mobo, plugged it in there for the heck of it and now it doesnt blink. I guess the 3-pin header that i was using didnt have enough power for a fan w/ LEDs, only a reg. fan. So, everything is good now. Thanks!
